HERITAGE, CRAFTED

Acclaimed chef and restaurateur Richard Sandoval opened Tamayo in 2001 at the corner of 14th and Larimer Street, bringing modern Mexican cuisine to Denver. At Tamayo, Chef Sandoval masterfully blends the earthy yet complex flavors of his native Mexico with global ingredients and innovative techniques, reimagining traditional dishes with a fresh, modern approach.

Alongside vibrant flavors, guests can savor hand-crafted margaritas and explore a curated selection of over 100 agave-based spirits. Inspired by Mexico’s lively tequilerías, Tamayo is a place to share conversation over small plates and slow sips, just as the locals do—or enjoy expertly crafted cocktails infused with bold flavors.

Our two-story restaurant features a spacious dining room, outdoor patio, and a rooftop deck with breathtaking Rocky Mountain views—the perfect setting to indulge in our signature hospitality.
